Ke'Ola/Gerda van der Linden has learned the Lomilomi in 1994-1996 from Aunty Margaret Kalehuamakanoelulu'uonapali Machado (1917-2009) on The Big Island of Hawaii. The State of Hawaii honored Aunty Margaret with the title 'Living Treasure of Hawaii' for her outstanding knowledge and practize of the ancient Hawaiian healing arts. Aunty Margaret gave Ke'Ola/Gerda her blessing for teaching the Lomilomi in The Netherlands.
