E Komo Mai - Welcome to the website of Aloha o Ka I

Aloha - love, o - of, ka I - the I. Ka I is the Hawaiian name of the Divine Source that inspired the great Ho'oponopono teacher and healer Morrnah Simeona and which is present everywhere and in all of us.
Everything Aloha o ka I organizes, has its roots in the ancient spiritual traditions of the Hawaiian Islands. The native Hawaiians possessed the knowlegde and techniques to generate energy, ho'omana, for healing and to create a positive attitude. A life steeped in deep respect for and in cooperation with the land.

Mahalo, thank you for visiting this website. My name is Ke'Ola Gerda van der Linden. I am the founder of Aloha o ka I. It's my pleasure to share with you the beautiful culture of the Hawaiian islands.

This website is respectfully dedicated to the Hawaiian people for keeping the ancient wisdom alive. Which is remarkable, concidering there was no written language until 1820. It's amazing that so much wisdom has survived for those lucky ones among us who may now reap what the ancient Hawaiians sowed.

"Ha'ina ia mai ana ka puana", let the story be told.

HO'OPONOPONO in the tradition of Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona

The ancient Hawaiians had an effective way of solving problems and restoring harmony, called Ho'oponopono, which means 'setting right'.
To learn more about the traditional way of Ho'oponopono, please click this link Traditional Ho'oponopono

Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, a Kahuna Lapa'au (Hawaiian healer), updated the traditional family Ho'oponopono for todays use and made it available to all interested. Morrnah's Ho'oponopono caused a quantum leap in the area of problem solving and healing. With this updated process it is no longer necessary for family members and others involved to come together, sit down and unravel the problem. Morrnah's Ho'oponopono is done between you and the Divinity within. Only the Divinity, creator of all original Rhythms and Blueprints can truly and effectively erase the cause of problems that are stuck in our memorybank. By the transmutation of imbalances, we simply return to who we really are. When you do the Ho'oponopono, you go back in rhythm, then... everything around you goes back in rhythm. Why? Because in the Universe of your Mind there's only you and your thoughts of ... yourself, others, etc. And what about other people's problems? Well, these problems too are stuck in your Mind. By setting yourself free of "other people's" problems, they too can be free. You can find more information about Morrnah Simeona on Wikipedia and Ho'oponopono on Wikipedia.
Morrnah wrote two blue blooks in which she described her Ho'oponopono in detail and step by step. She used these in her classes. Ufortunately these books are not available anymore. Aloha o ka I continues to present the complete, original texts of Morrnah's two blue books in her classes of Morrnah Simeona's Ho'oponopono trilogy.

What is a problem?
If we look carefully, we will find that a problem is a replay of a memory stored in our memorybank, which is part of the subconscious Mind. When the memory has been erased, the problem is gone. It sounds too simple to be true and however profound, simple it is. Everyone can learn and apply Morrnah's Ho'oponopono.

How can this method help?
We are the center of our own, unique universe: the main player in our own life. Our perception of the world is a reflection of our inner world and all our previous experiences. The place to look for solving our problems, whatever the problem may be, is inside ourselves. By doing Ho'oponopono, harmony is restored, in ourselves first and thereby in the world we are part of. This all occurs without the need to first analyse a situation or problem.

What will you learn during the weekend seminar?
We'll discuss the traditional Hawaiian way of family Ho'oponopono and you learn Morrnah Simeona's  Ho'oponopono.
Integrated is the knowledge of the three parts of consiousness: the Aumakua or higher consiousness - the Uhane or rational consciousness - the Unihipili or subconsciousness. This Trinity in cooperation with the Divinity within, makes up your Self identity. During the two day seminar you learn how to establish a good relationship between the inner Selves, which results in an ongoing relation with the Divinity within. Freedom and a fruitful life can be naturally yours.

After you have completely internalised Morrnah's Ho'oponopono by practicing on a daily base, you can learn part II which includes the restoration of the Soul. After one year you can learn part III which includes the harmonious release of the soul in the process of dying.

Because we are based in The Netherlands, our classes are presented in the Dutch language. However, also English spoken classes are to be organized which will be announced on the website and in the newsletter. Please use the contact form if you want to be kept updated.

Ke'Ola Gerda van der Linden hosted the Ho'oponopono seminars in The Netherlands for Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona in 1989 and 1990. She has been organizing and presenting Morrnah's Ho'oponopono in The Netherlands and abroad for more than 26 years.

When we think of Hawaii, we see idyllic beaches with waving palmtrees against a background of a turquoisblue ocean. Warm water invites us to explore the magical, colourful underwaterworld. Yes, it's all there and more. We tour The Big Island with its living volcano. There is a chance we'll even see the lava flow into the ocean.
The Hawaiian Islands are situated in the center of the worlds largest ocean, the Pacific, far away from the continents. The islands have their own unique rhythm. . . life is still relaxed. Our tour takes place in this relaxed rhythm. We'll have plenty of time to experience the beauty and power of the places we visit.

The isolated location of the islands, the extreme elements of nature and the cleansing, renewing energy of Pele (Goddess of the volcano), can bring forward unknown aspects of ourselves. Therefor a tour to Hawaii can be a multiple experience: enjoying the breathtaking versatile beauty of the islands, but also the possibility for renewing insights about ourselves and old habits. Hawaii is the perfect place for transmutation in a natural way. 'Ha' means breath;
'wai' means water; i is Ka I, which means the Divinity, so Hawaii is the breath and water of the Divinity... how wonderful.

My love for the Hawaiian people, their culture and the Hawaiian Islands is the inspiration behind Aloha o ka I.

The name Ke'Ola has been given to me by Kumu Hula Uncle George Lanakilakekiahilii Na'ope (Febr. 25, 1928 - Oct. 26, 2009 ), co-founder of the Merrie Monarch, the famous annual Hula Festival in Hilo on The Big Island. Uncle George was a Kumu Hula Kahiko, singer and preserver of traditional Hawaiian songs and values. He was honored for his work with the title "Living Treasure of Hawai'i". Please read more about him on Wikipedia

A question often asked is: How come a very much Dutch woman gets so fascinated by the spiritual culture of Hawaii? What follows, is a short description of a long and continuous journey.

It was in 1989 during a trip in Egypt, that I first heard about Kahuna of Hawaii. It was as if I was struck by lightning and bells ringing throughout my body. A source hidden deep inside me, came back to life. As soon as I was back in The Netherlands I started looking for books about Kahuna and at that time in 1989 only found one, 'The Secrect Science behind Miracles' by Max Freedom Long. It told about miracles performed by Kahuna, like healing broken bones in just 5 minutes.... I wanted to know all there was to know about it.
One event followed the other. One week after I was back from Egypt I was asked to organize a seminar for Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona (May 19, 1913 - Febr. 11, 1992) and her assistant Dr. Stanley Hew Len. They traveled all over the world to teach Morrnah's updated Ho'oponopono based on the traditional Hawaiian process of forgiveness and healing. During the seminar in center the Kosmos in Amsterdam a miracle healing happened. A man having a stiff leg as a result of a motor accident, asked Morrnah for a healing. Five minutes later he felt a warm flow through his leg, he was able to bend his knee again after 26 years and was healed. He had x-rays made of his knee and even where previously bonefragments were gone, the bone had been restored. I asked Morrnah: "How do you do that?" Her answer: "It's not me, it's God, all we have to do is ask." That's all? Now after many years of practizing and teaching Morrnah's Ho'oponopono, miracles have become a part of my life. The ancient Hawaiians had a knowledge, that thanks to people like Morrnah, is now available to anyone who is interested and willing to learn.

During my first visit to Hawaii in 1993 I met an other wonderful, wise woman, Aunty Margaret Kalehuamakamoelulu'uonapali Machado.
Aunty Margaret teaching LomilomiAt her romantic wooden beachhouse near Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island Aunty Margaret teached her traditional Hawaiian Lomilomi massage, which I learned from her in 1994. While I was there for the advanced class in 1996, Aunty Margaret asked me to come to her private room. Sitting on a Hawaiian mat while holding hands Aunty closed her eyes and started praying in Hawaiian. She then blew her breath on my cheeks, forehead and the top of my head, and gave me her blessing for teaching her style of Lomilomi in my country. Later that day Aunty's husband Uncle Dan told me: "Never change anything of Aunty's massage."
Over the years I experienced the wisdom of Uncle Dan's words because while massaging and teaching Aunty Margaret's Lomilomi, not having changed anything, her tradition or lineage is working through me and the clients.
Aunty Margaret's motto is: "Lomilomi is a praying work. Just lay your hands in Gods hands and let him do the work." Aunti walked the rainbow at age 93 on December 28, 2009.

Still every day I'm grateful that these beautiful Hawaiian elders, Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, Aunty Margaret Machado and Uncle George Na'ope crossed my path and were willing to share their wisdom. It changed my life forever. The study of ancient Hawaii, its culture and the healing arts is a beautiful never ending journey. I have visited Hawaii often and sometimes guide tours for small groups. We experience the Mana of the Hawaiian Islands, the spirit of Aloha, beautiful rainforest, volcanoes, sacred places, the ocean and much more. If you feel Hawaii is calling you, you're most welcome to join me in this Paradise. Click on the link Hawaii tours on top of this page to find out more.
